It is an element he has consistently integrated into his designs. Varvatos has extended his brand to include; footwear, watches, fragrances, handbags, and handbags. In 2012 John Varvatos joined the cast of  "The Fashion Star" as one of their celebrity mentors. The reality competition goal was to find the next big fashion brand. He is also a designer known for his philanthropic work. He has partnered with organizations such as Save The Music, and has been involved in charitable collaborations with musicians such as Ringo Starr, and the Ringo Starr Peace, and Love Fund. One of the highlights of fashion week was the showing of the Varvatos collection during New York Fashion Week Men's.

Posh was fortunate enough to see his latest collection presented during New York Fashion Week Men's. The Fall 2017 collection is titled; “Wild at Heart.”, and it was distinctly rock 'n' roll. Celebrated photographer Mick Rock was in attendance. We also spotted Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, and French born Congolese recording artist Young Paris. The Diamond Horseshoe night club in mid town Manhattan was a great venue for the show. You are immediately intrigued by the broken chandelier at the bottom of the  staircase leading to the upper levels. In another  corner sit sculpted busts surrounded by old dusty wine and champagne glasses. It was easy to imagine that show were taking place in someone's old mansion.

The models could easily have been mistaken for band members making a grand entrance. there was a "slightly unkept" quality about the way the hair was styled. While classic rock provided the soundtrack, the models killed it in smartly tailored double breasted jackets. The foot where was also nicely done. They seemed to evoke a 60's mod style. The jackets were complemented by vests and thin scarves.  Suites were done in gray linen fabrics and featured shiny embellishments. Within the exotic Lestat like night-club the show had atmosphere of a place where modern times, and combine with the aesthetics of times past.  The horseshoe runway provided the perfect medium to appreciate the totality of the Varvatos vision. This collection can take you anywhere.
