Attitude
This year the 3 nights of runway shows were filled with lots of musical entertainment. From R&B sensation Joe to Mavado and Tanya Stephens. The attendees were definitely there for the soca night. After a warm up by Fab 5 the crowd was totally electrified by David Rudder. Machel Montano as usual was magnificent! The energy was infectious to those who were gazing prior to his entrance.
International designers that took to the stage included Spoerry 1866 Collection out of Switzerland which was impeccable. It was their first time showcasing outside of Europe. For me, their mens’ collection was extraordinary as the combination of textures was brilliantly achieved to give a tailored and sophisticated look yet casual. It was the best line of mens wear for the night! They were well received.
