Her daring design grabbed celebrity attention early on, some of the famous names that have worn her designs include; actress Milla Jovovich, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and Kelly Rowland. She has also been an accessories designer for, Michael Kors,Calvin Klein, Nine West, Anne Klein, and Oscar De La Renta among others. The buzz created by all this attention has increased the success and visibility of the LaureLuxe brand, now carried at major retailers such as Nordstrom’s,Target, Forever 21 and Wal-Mart.
Ms. DeWitt presented her collection on February 19th, 2012 the third and last day of Couture Fashion Week. Once again the fabulous Grand Ballroom of New York's Waldorf Astoria served as the venue for this much anticipated event. Exploring the Couture possibilities of metal is one of the things that make Couture Fashion Week such a unique platform. It's a chance to experience the kind of innovation that is such an important aspect of Couture. The presentation was amazing, and the construction of the accessories is truly masterful. The pieces range from intricate streams of delicate metal chain, to the stunning metal cowl and shawl that evoked a feeling of feathers. There were lots of stand out pieces like the intricate chain veil complimenting the delicate halter made from thin strands of metal chain. While some of the accessories may not be for everyday wear, those who want to make a statement will find in the collection a variety of options from subtle to bold.
